Free 20 minute Initial Consultation

Meet Jake, who is passionate about guiding individuals towards healing and self-discovery. Jake spent five years facilitating group counselling in the non-profit sector before becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Addiction Counsellor in early 2022. He has earned a B.A. in Legal Studies, minoring in Alternative Dispute Resolution, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Family Mediation, and a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling. His unique combination of educational and work experiences helps him serve a wide variety of clients, couples and families.

Jake will work with you to understand what is going on inside and move you toward healing and thriving. He is an avid learner and brings that love of learning to the session, teaching you how to translate what happens in the session into other aspects of your life. His mission is to create a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, develop the tools you need to heal and grow and create a meaningful life you enjoy.

He hopes that as clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, they will better understand their values and discover a way of living that aligns with them. This will bring healing and give clients a path forward that empowers them and builds healthy connections with other people.

One of Jake’s underlying philosophies is that human beings have an innate capacity to heal, grow, and connect with others meaningfully. He will explore this with you and address whatever prevents you from engaging in this capacity to empower you to self-direct your healing and growth.

Jake is an avid coffee drinker, record collector, and pro-wrestling enthusiast. He spends much of his spare time cooking vegan meals, lifting weights, and spending quality time with his wife, Megan, and their retired racing greyhounds, Harvey and Minni.
